Finding Your Authentic Voice

Dates: August 26th, September 9th, December 2nd

The Finding Your Authentic Voice Workshop helps men and women explore the true place in each of us where we “know” who we are, what we want and what is really most important at the end of the day. It is designed to support men and women as the transitions of life have us asking new and different questions about life, purpose and fulfillment.

The content of this workshop will support participants, through the natural instinct of the horses, to connect with their personal “voice” and how to have that “voice” be in the forefront as they move through life.

Using a variety of our master teaching horses, communication tools and the expertise of Andi Burgis and Beth Russell, you will move through a series of activities designed to discover and uncover your “Authentic Voice”. Content will include distinctions between the authentic and false self and how to consistently listen to the authentic self voice.

Typical outcomes by attending this workshop:

  • Experience honoring your truth
  • Develop a “knowing” that comes through the heart rather than the intellect
  • Have the courage to know, act and speak honestly from your truth and values.
  • Develop a deeper level of self understanding.
I learned a lot… but the biggest lesson was that I am in control and that I need to trust my heart/feelings and NOT over think/analyze things. I really enjoyed learning about the different emotions. Get it, experience it, respond, and go back to grazing. The horses were GREAT and a great learning tool. Once I found my clarity, my heart’s desire was easily achieved. From this point forward I am willing to accept the challenges that are to come and I’m my own compass in facing those challenges.— M. Ramirez

Mastering Connection - The Couples Experience

Dates: October 20th and 21st and December 8th and 9th

The Mastering Connection Workshop is designed to help couples build or increase relationship skills that support communication and connection in a healthy and proactive way. Mastering these skills are the foundation of having healthy, mutually respectful and fulfilling relationships.

The content of this workshop will support couples in increasing the connection in their own relationship by using the natural instinct of the horses and how they interact in relationship. Horses model the ability to bring their needs to the relationship in a healthy way by focusing on the herd as a whole, not just their own well being.  Horses embody “present experience”, clear boundary setting, and “whole body” communication. The horses are masters at connection, communication and acceptance. You will get to experience the horses as teachers in an intimate and supportive environment.

Typical outcomes by attending this workshop:

  • Increase the heart based connection in your relationship
  • The importance of congruence in creating a trusting partnership and how to become congruent
  • How to listen and hear what’s being said at a non-verbal level; create new levels of intimacy
  • How to create feedback that’s from a neutral space; understand what's actually being communicated
  • Discovery and recognition of energy fields as a primary tool for effective communication and relationships.

Location: Challenge U Ranch, Liberty, MO.

Investment: : $ 350 per couple (includes lunch and materials).

Workshop limited to 6 couples. Upon receipt of registration, a Challenge U representative will contact you regarding logistics, location and directions.

Through my experience with you and the horses, I experienced real time / real life method and result. For me, I focused on a male/female dynamic, as it is something I needed some healing and growth. I went in believing I need to learn to embrace the strength of female passivity and to give over control, as a way of ultimately actually being in control, or at least as a way of gaining what I wanted. It worked. With this man, I respectfully and softly approached, stepped back, respected his boundaries, let him be in control and even rescue me a little, and he came toward me, and is still coming toward me. I, as well, am 'enjoying this new incarnation of us' as he put it.  And it's all because of my shift in behavior. And believe me, this is a shift, as I had become entrenched in rigid control over the past few years in particular due to an intense caretaking of other people in need in my life.  I've been the rock that everyone has relied and leaned on.  So it's wonderfully relieving and freeing to shed that burden and allow someone else to be a rock for me. — L. A week has slipped by since by equine experience. At all levels of my consciousness I continue to “know” today what I thought I knew before I meet a beautiful horse that will live in my heart through the connections of a few moments. When my coach asked me why I was walking backwards to lead the horse forward, I was caught doing something that I was completely unaware of. The horse was moving forward despite my physical posture.  I learned that when I connect with other beings my focus, awareness, and sensitivity is for the other. Balance is so important for me and the other being. Moving into balance will enhance my health and the health of all relationships.   Thank you for this insight at a level never experienced before and thank you for your gift of caring. — Rebecca
